Feet in the sand

The bar opens. An espresso, the paper, the sound of the sea. Kids find the fenced playground with its bouncy castle at the back, parents find a spot in the sun.

See you next season

The parasols are closed and the sea has the beach to itself for a while. From March 27 the loungers, the cocktails and the DJ are back.
Just a little longer
01The story
Walk under the rust-coloured arches and you’re somewhere else. Palm trees, green cushions, wood warming up in the sun and a DJ setting the pace of the day.
Salito Beach started as a beach bar on the seafront and grew into one of the best-known beach bars on the coast. Jonathan Polen and Pieter Denaeghel still run it with the same idea as on day one: cocktails done right, people who know your name by your second visit, and music that never stops.
Life's too short to drink bad cocktails.
It’s on our logo, and we mean it.

From the first aperitif to the last round, someone is behind the decks. Sunny and slow in the afternoon, heavier once the sun goes down. Names you’ll hear here a lot: Robert Abigail, MIX-AM, Dimaro and Dismizz.

21:00
Friday to Sunday we stay open until nine. Just long enough to watch the sun sink into the sea, with Blankenberge pier in silhouette.
03After sunset
23:00
A stage on the beach, fireworks over the pier and thousands of people singing the same chorus. The Summer Kick-Off, the Fête des Belges and the Adios Summer Party are known all over Belgium by now. One look at the footage and you’ll see why.
You look Salitolicious!
